But then realized local mothers need & deserve a dedicated store within which to shop & actually try on clothing.

Every single item in the shop has been scooped directly out of a local mama’s closet, before being laundered, steamed, and displayed for the next mama to love.

Are you looking for maternity, nursing, and postpartum clothing that you can try on, pick up, or have shipped right to your door?

Struck by Secondhand carries only maternity and nursing-friendly pieces that are in excellent condition and suitable for pregnancy and postpartum. Because a mom of two who’s been in your shoes is running this joint and knows what it is that you need!

Each piece of clothing is sourced directly from a local mother's closet. Mothers who are finished with their pieces can sell and/or donate their items to the shop. The clothing is then laundered, steamed, and hung, ready to be tried on by the next mama. You can also peruse each piece online.

If you’re local to the Kingston, Ontario area, you can visit the Home Shop where all clothing is washed and tagged by appointment. It’s categorized and hung, ready to be tried on!

Struck by Secondhand has saved hundreds of pieces of clothing from landfills while also supporting local charitable organizations that similarly strive to support local mothers and parents. All overstock and baby items are shared with community non-profit partners such as The Pregnancy Care Centre, YGK Thrift, The Doula Support Foundation, and the Kingston General Hospital NICU.

In 2023, Struck by Secondhand was awarded Gold by Community Votes in the Maternity Clothing category.

How I went from selling my own personal collection of clothing to running the only dedicated maternity and nursing clothing store in the Kingston, Ontario, Canada area…

entirely by accident.
